Welcome to the website of Mary Rodriguez. An artist with a very varied body of artwork including both figurative and abstract images in a range of different media including etching, lithography, monoprinting, charcoal and pencil drawings, paint, textiles and sewing. My work is quite expressionistic, some say quirky.

I originally trained as a Fine Artist at Birmingham Polytechnic, Lanchester (Coventry) Polytechnic, and the Royal College of Art. Art college had a strange effect on my creativity and it entered a long dormant period whilst I trained in another profession, until I resurrected it, initially through exploring the many and varied processes of printmaking. (See the image ‘Woman with tree’). More recently I have been developing my drawing practice, both observations from life drawings and my surrounding environment (mainly urban landscapes). I usually have several projects on the go, and also I do work for commission. You are welcome to contact me to discuss my work – most pieces are for sale.
