Mary Rodriguez is an artist with a very varied body of artwork including both figurative and abstract images in a range of different media including etching, lithography, monoprinting, charcoal and pencil drawings, paint, textiles and sewing. Her work is quite expressionistic, some say quirky.

Mary trained as a Fine Artist at Birmingham Polytechnic, Lanchester (Coventry) Polytechnic, and the Royal College of Art. Art college had a strange effect on her creativity and it entered a long dormant period whilst she trained in another profession. She resurrected her art practice initially through exploring the many and varied processes of printmaking. More recently she has been developing her drawing and painting practice, using observational drawing as a starting point, then developing the image through play and exploration of more abstract mark making.

She usually has several projects on the go, and also does work for commission. You are welcome to contact her to discuss her work – most pieces are for sale.
